Life is my passion

Life and all it has to offer is my passion. I am very concerned with issues of poverty, the environment, child welfare, children's mental health, aging and social justice; and I am fortunate to work in a job which allows me to act on those issues. I could be called a political junkie, but with patience and a deep interest in what others have to say. I am fluent on a variety of issues and have a very pronounced tilt to the left. Art, particularly photography and music, especially jazz, blues and rock and roll are of great interest. Travel, both in the US and foreign is important to me. I have lived in Israel, visited most of the US as well as Japan, the Ukraine and much of Europe. I am very interested in history and build trips either around history or the unique enviornment a destination has to offer. I am a camper and a hiker. I will often just find a path in the mountains, the desert, the woods and follow it listening to nature and taking photographs. I have been described as passionate but laid back.
